This is obviously due to user error as it is a while since I used Ubuntu (I didn’t even realize that it now has a software installer function until after I had installed most of the stuff via terminal). It worked perfectly with local hard drives connected via USB. I tried Asset UPnP but I couldn’t get it to connect with my networked drives at all (the whole drives, not just FLAC). I was testing things out until the early hours last night. My preference would be Tablet (running UAPP) > DAC > Amp and control the UAPP playback from my phone. My aim is just to be able to wirelessly control a device that is connected to a DAC by means of another android device. However, any app that is capable of upnp control (such as Bubble Upnp, Hifi Cast etc.) fails to see any content in the folders. I can access all the same flac files from file explorers on Android and I can even play them without issue in local playback apps, such as UAPP on the device. They can see and play all mp3 files, they can see movie content, image content, and even the full folder structure, but once I open a folder that contains flac files, they all say that the folder is empty. My issue is that any of the upnp control point apps I use, they fail to see the flac files on my NAS. I am trying to set up either an android device (running UAPP) or a DAP (M2X) connected to a DAC as a upnp renderer. I have my music collection on hard drives connected to a router, sharing via smb but also with a DLNA server activated. What platform are you using to run MinimServer? If it is a NAS, do you have a VPN server running on the NAS? This can cause network discovery problems.I am not sure if any of you will be able to help but I have spent a fair few hours trying to resolve the issue I am having without any luck. This isn't related to the problems you are having. There is a fix in 0.8.3 for a problem that could cause incorrect cached browsing results to be shown by the Naim app. I have had similar problems with the Naim app sometimes not being able to find the Naim streamer. The other possibility is an issue with the Naim app. There aren't any changes in 0.8.3 that would make a difference to this. These problems are usually caused by network multicast issues. I am not sure if this is a naim app or minimserver issue but it seems you know of some pending problems between naim app and minimserver. Everytime I restarted laptop all is well. Click on app upnp icon again and the app is trying to search for minimserver without success. While listening to some track on upnp and when i click back to all albums, naim app hangs there and lost connection to minimserver. Is the new minimserver 0.83 incorporated changes to work better with naim app?Reason I'm asking is I have on many occasions naim app cannot find minimserver when i click on the upnp icon on the app.Į.g 1, listening to spotify, click on upnp cannot find server. If this doesn't work, try changing the n-Stream UPnP compatibility mode setting. After this, restart n-Stream and you might be lucky. I suggest you try force-quitting n-Stream on your iPad and then power the iPad off and on. UPnP discovery can be a bit unreliable sometimes. Remains though that other applications do detect minimserver running on the thecus though.ĮDIT 2: I just checked the status page of minimserver on my theucs. I run minimserver on my my linux laptop the naim app will discover it just fine. Give you that would be helpful ? do you have access to a naim setup yourself?ĮDIT: Turns out this is somehow related to minimserver running on the Thecus. Which is weird because i'm /pretty/Ĭertain that the naim app could in fact discover the server at one point.ĭo you have any ideas what i could try or is there any information i could I did see minimserver as well (although it crashed because it probably isn't meant toĮither way this leads me to believe that minimserver is running correctly Gupnp on my linux laptop just fine and can also play music through it. I can see it and access content provided by minimserver via I just set up minimserver on my thecus and tried to access it with nstream There are some issues with the new Naim app (the replacement for n-Stream) and I am working on a fix. Now, is MinimServer working with Naim's n-Stream without problems ? Is it a good choice for Naim streamers ? I'm new to this forum and to MinimServer, since I use to run Asset upnp on my Windows Server, which works very well with Naim's n-Stream to manage a real big collection of music for my NDX streamer.
